How much an online psychologist earns
We cannot tell you what you will earn — it depends on your rate and how many sessions you hold. We can show you exactly how the calculation works so you can estimate it yourself.
One clarification, before the numbers
The table below is not an income promise and is not the average earnings on Seempathy. It is arithmetic: the rate you choose, multiplied by the sessions you hold, minus the platform commission. How many patients you end up with depends on your specialization, the languages you work in, your calendar availability and how complete your profile is — and we are a young platform in Moldova, not a mature marketplace.
The formula
Monthly income = your rate × number of sessions × 85%. Seempathy keeps 15% of each session. There is no signup fee, subscription or listing cost — a month without sessions costs you nothing.

What actually moves the number
In order of impact, from what we see on active profiles:
Real calendar availability. A profile with two slots a week gets few requests, however good the therapist is.
The languages you work in. In Moldova, a therapist who also offers sessions in Russian reaches a noticeably larger audience.
Certified specializations. Demand concentrates on anxiety, depression, couples therapy and trauma — if you are trained in them, declare it with a certificate.
A complete profile, with a photo, a description of how you work and your therapeutic approach. Incomplete profiles convert poorly even when they surface in results.
Continuity. Stable income comes from patients who return weekly, not from one-off sessions.
Costs to account for
What the table does not show but affects your net income:
- Taxes and social contributions under your fiscal status. The platform generates the documents you need, but declaring remains your responsibility.
- Professional liability insurance — mandatory to practise on the platform.
- Professional supervision, if you practise under supervision.
- Continuing education and certification renewals.
