What commission does Seempathy take?
Seempathy keeps 15% of the session fee and you receive 85%. There is no signup fee, no monthly subscription and no listing cost — a month without sessions costs you nothing. The commission covers the video platform, payment processing, scheduling, reminders and support.
Who sets the session price?
You do. You set your rate in your profile and can change it at any time — Seempathy imposes no minimum or maximum and does not ask you to match other therapists on the platform. The price shown to the patient is the one you set.
When and how do I get paid?
Patient payments accumulate in your balance as sessions take place. When you want to withdraw, you submit a payout request from your dashboard and the team processes it to your bank account. Your balance, session history and the commission withheld on each session are visible at all times.
Do I have to work exclusively through the platform?
No. There is no exclusivity clause. You keep your physical practice, other platforms and your existing patients. Many therapists use Seempathy for part of their schedule — online sessions, or the slots they want to fill.
How many patients will I get?
We do not promise a number — that would be dishonest. We are a young platform based in Moldova, and volume depends on your specialization, the languages you work in and the availability you open. What we can say concretely: complete profiles with certified specializations and real calendar availability receive significantly more requests than half-finished ones.
What documents do I need to join?
A detailed CV, a university degree (psychology, medicine or social work), an active professional licence (CMRM for Moldova, CPR for Romania), certificates for every specialization you declare, professional liability insurance, an identity document and two professional references.
How long does verification take?
On average 5 working days once we have all documents. The process has 7 stages — CV, identity, degree, licence checked against public registries, insurance, specialization certificates and a 30-minute interview with our team. The ✓ Verified badge is valid for 12 months and renews annually.
Do I need professional liability insurance?
Yes, it is mandatory. The policy must be active with at least 6 months of validity at the time you join. Without it your profile stays unpublished — this is a patient-safety condition we do not negotiate.
Can I join if I practise in Romania?
Yes. We verify a CPR licence against the public registry exactly as we verify CMRM for therapists in Moldova. You can see patients from both countries, and sessions run online wherever you are.
What equipment do I need?
A computer with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and a modern browser. Video sessions run in the browser — nothing to install for you or your patient. We recommend a headset and a room where you will not be interrupted.
Which languages can I work in?
Romanian, English and Russian. The platform is fully translated into all three and patients filter therapists by language. If you work in several, declare them all — in Moldova, a therapist who also offers sessions in Russian reaches a noticeably larger audience.
How do I manage my schedule and cancellations?
You define your available slots in the calendar, block holiday periods and can sync with Google Calendar so nothing double-books. The cancellation policy and automatic patient reminders are handled by the platform.
