How we verify every therapist
No therapist appears publicly on Seempathy without passing 7 validation stages. Yearly re-verification is mandatory.
The 7 verification stages
- 1
1. Detailed CV
We request a CV with full practice history, supervisors, methodological training and years of experience. We check chronology and consistency.
- 2
2. Identity
Scanned ID/passport + selfie holding the document. We confirm the person on the CV is the one behind the profile.
- 3
3. University diploma
Degree from an accredited faculty (psychology / medicine / social work). For international degrees, we verify recognition in Moldova.
- 4
4. Professional license
CMRM (Moldova) for psychologists/psychiatrists, CPR (Romania) where applicable. We verify validity in the official public registries.
- 5
5. Liability insurance
Active professional liability policy with verified insurer. Without a policy, the profile stays unpublished.
- 6
6. Certified specialisations
For each declared specialisation (CBT, EMDR, couples therapy, etc.), we require the official certificate from the training programme.
- 7
7. References and interview
Two professional references (supervisor / colleague) + a 30-min interview with the Seempathy team for ethical alignment and practice fit.
The process takes 5 business days on average after all documents are received.
Required documents
Prepare these before you start. All documents are encrypted in transit and accessible only to the moderation team.
- Detailed CV (PDF) with full practice history
- University diploma (PDF scan, both sides)
- Active CMRM license (or CPR for Romania)
- Certificates for every declared specialisation
- Liability insurance policy (≥ 6 months remaining)
- ID card / passport (both sides)
- Two professional references (name + contact)
Yearly re-verification
The ✓ Verified badge is valid for 12 months. 30 days before expiry we email a renewal request (active insurance, new training certificates). Without renewal the badge is automatically removed — the therapist stays on the platform, but without the verification mark.
