For teenagers (13-17), adapted CBT works well. For children aged 7-12, play therapy plus simplified CBT. Under 7, mostly play therapy with the parents involved.

Is parental consent required?

In Moldova, under 16 — yes. At 16-17 there is flexibility; many therapists work with teenagers on their own agreement, keeping parents informed. Session confidentiality is respected: the therapist discloses only immediate physical danger.
