Where to find life coaching therapists
Frequently asked
What is the difference between coaching and psychotherapy?
Coaching is focused on the future and on goals — career, relationships, productivity. Psychotherapy addresses clinical problems: anxiety, depression, trauma. Coaching assumes you are psychologically well and want to optimise. For clinical problems, therapy is the better fit.
Is coaching regulated in Moldova?
Less so than psychotherapy. Coaches are not required to belong to the College of Psychologists. That means wide variability in quality — check their training (ICF, Erickson, Hudson) and their concrete experience.
How long does a coaching programme run?
Typically 6-12 sessions for a specific goal: a career change, a major decision, launching a project. Shorter than therapy. Fortnightly is the standard frequency, weekly during intense phases.
Does it cost more than therapy?
Often yes, especially for coaches specialising in executive or entrepreneurial work. Typical fees run 600-1500 MDL per session. For more accessible life coaching, 400-700 MDL.
Can I do coaching and therapy at the same time?
Yes, if the goals are different. Many people do therapy for anxiety and coaching for their career in parallel. Both practitioners should know about each other so their work does not interfere.
